There was lots of lovely meals.

The hotel had an excellent location right in the heart of the village. The staff were pleasant and excellent all of the time. The food was fine, with a good choice of options.

Thoroughly enjoyed our exceptionally nice and beautiful rooms.

This was a modern place to stay. The location was peaceful, so close to the restaurant as well as cheddar gorge, and the private parking was an excellent bonus. Besides, St Martins Church was 5 km away from the venue. Overall it was reasonably large and fabulous, with a private bathroom. Meals in the hotel were outstanding.

Historic coaching inn, charming atmosphere, convenient off-street parking

The echo of church chimes next door was a bit annoying!!! The playground felt a tad unkempt and could use some improvements!!! A relaxing stay could be even better with a little attention to outdoor upkeep!!!

The room was spacious with lovely decor and the staff. We had a good dinner that exceeded my expectations.

the shower pressure was a bit weak.

I loved my stay in a cozy double room with a cute fireplace and a bath so nice, I could've stayed in it all day! The garden was lovely for a morning coffee, and the little TV room provided a great spot to chill. The shower's temperature was tricky, but it didn’t ruin the vibe at all. definitely try the Indian restaurant next door! 😊

The decor was modern n cozy, staff were super friendly n helpful. We loved how the bar n restaurant were separate. Food was freshly made n tasty, really good value for the price. This place got loads of character n was located in a nice area.

The atmosphere in the bar was also delightful, making it a perfect spot to unwind after exploring the nearby attractions.

The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The food was a highlight, with a diverse menu and high-quality dishes that impressed me at every meal. The only downside was the room price, but the overall experience made up for it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The George in Wedmore. The hospitality felt warm and genuine. Dining options featured really good meals, and the decor had a tasteful charm. The only drawback was a minor issue with the bathroom amenities that could use attention.

We stayed for two nights and loved the spacious room with excellent decor and the wholesome breakfast. Dinner was exceptional too! I’d definitely return.

Cute atmosphere and excellent food

I booked a last-minute stay and was kinda surprised by the spacious room and the comfortable bed. The dinner we had in the restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast the next morning was hearty and well-prepared. The staff were friendly. One area for improvement would be to have more options on the dinner menu.

Just a good pick for a weekend in Wedmore with fantastic value for money. The room was large and the bed lovely. Make sure to ask for a quieter room if you're a light sleeper.
